About me
Liu Yen-Chen
Animation Director / Art Director / Character Designer
Graduated from Gobelins, l'école de l'image in 2018. His co-directed graduation short film A Gong won multiple accolades, including Best Student Animated Short Film at MONSTRA (Lisbon Animated Film Festival), Best of Show at the 3x3 Student Illustration Show, and the Grand Prix at the Taiwan International Student Design Competition.
Since then, he has actively participated in various animation productions. In 2020, he served as the Art Director for the animated short film Spinning, which won First Prize in the Taiwan Short Films Competition at the Taichung International Animation Festival. In 2022, he contributed character designs and layouts to Monsoon Blue, winner of the Golden Horse Award for Best Animated Short Film. In 2025, he worked on layout and background art for Wilderness of the Greenriver, which won the Grand Prize at the Golden Horse Film Project Promotion (FPP). Recently, he has been collaborating on art direction for various animated short films while actively developing his first original short film.

個人簡介
2018年畢業於法國 Gobelins影像學院，聯合執導畢業短片《阿公》榮獲里斯本動畫電影節最佳學生動畫短片、美國 3x3 學生插畫大賽首獎及臺灣國際學生創意大賽年度大獎等多項肯定。
此後持續參與各類動畫專案製作，2020年擔任動畫短片《轉啊！》的美術指導，獲得台中國際動畫影展台灣短片競賽首獎。2022年擔任金馬獎最佳動畫短片《夏夢迴》之角色設計與構圖，2025年於金馬創投首獎作品《彌河上的荒野》擔任構圖及背景繪製，近期擔任楊子新導演動畫短片《家》之美術指導，目前則專注於首部原創短片《恰恰恰》的開發，探索生命裡那份進退自如的鬆弛感與活在當下的玩興。
